JustOne

FAQ

One question at a time — including the ones about how this works.

Common questions

  • What is JustOne?

JustOne is micro-polling: one question, two or more options, and results you can read in seconds. Creating a Poll takes about as long as writing a text message, and answering one takes a single tap.

  • Do I need an account to answer a Poll?

No. Anyone with the link can answer anonymously. An account is only useful for creators who want every Poll they make gathered in one dashboard.

  • Can I answer the same Poll twice?

Each browser session records at most one Response per Poll, and the option you tap is never changed afterwards. People sharing a network or device are not blocked from answering on their own sessions.

  • When do I get to see the Results?

Results appear right after your Response is recorded. Creators see the Results for their own Poll on the dashboard without having to answer it.

  • Why can't I see the demographic splits?

Splits by demographics, device, or country stay hidden until the Poll has at least 20 Responses with at least 5 in each segment shown. Below that, small groups become identifiable and the percentages mislead more than they inform. Detailed insights are shown to the Poll owner and to signed-in users.

  • What are the optional context questions?

A creator may attach up to two demographic prompts, either from our catalog (such as Gender or Employment) or written from scratch. They are always optional: skipping them still records your answer to the main question.

  • What data do you collect about me?

The option you chose, any optional context answers, and coarse request metadata: device OS, browser, country, and region. No names, no emails, and no plaintext IP address is stored on a Response.

  • Can I edit a Poll after publishing it?

You can edit the question and options until the first Response arrives. After that the Poll content is frozen so the numbers always refer to the same question everybody answered.

  • How do I delete a Poll?

A Poll with no Responses can be deleted outright. Once people have answered, you withdraw it instead: it disappears from discovery and stops accepting new Responses, while the Results you already collected stay on your dashboard.

  • I created a Poll as a guest. How do I get back to it?

Guest creators get a secret claim link when the Poll is created. Keep it and it restores dashboard access on any device; you can also use it later to attach the Poll to an account.

  • How do I share a Poll?

Every Poll has a short link and a ready-made share image. You can also copy an answer link for a specific option, which records that answer as soon as someone opens it.

  • Something here breaks the rules. What do I do?

Use the report action on the Poll page. You do not need to answer the Poll or have an account to report it, and every report goes straight to our review queue.
